    Need a UNIX Admin Consultant EAD GC Citizen
    Location Pittsburg PA Local Tri State
    Duration 12 Months
    Rate 45hr on W2 50 hr on 1099
    Need a Senior UNIX System Administrator Systems Analyst Candidates must
    have excellent communications skills EAD GC Citizen Only Please submit a
    maximum of 2 resumes at market rates Minimum experience is 9 years as UNIX
    Admin in Large Distributed Systems Environment
    Skills and Experience Required
    Install configure and support IBM and HP Unix servers hosting
    mission critical application platforms for broad based Hubs
    Installing and upgrading operating systems firmware and failed
    hardware on IBM and HP Servers and Storage systems
    Troubleshooting critical hardware and software issues and other
    day to day user trouble tickets Arranging and tracking of vendor
    deliverables
    Perform monitoring of systems performance and capacity planning
    Report on key metrics governing the operation of all systems
    Create and maintain documentation for servers and storage
    environments
    Support and configuration of fiber attached storage
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills capable of guiding
    users through the execution of basic to intermediate system functions
    ability to write intricate system and user documentation Ability to resolve
    issues quickly able to identify tasks which should be automated and then
    write tools to automate them
    Understands interprocess communication devices and device drivers
    Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing
    environments including routing client server programming
    Write scripts in an administrative language Shell Perl
    Familiar with UNIX administration tools and tasks
    In depth understanding of the function of the UNIX operating
    system
    Configure test and trouble shoot all attached devices serial and
    Ethernet Storage
    SOW
    Individual selected will be responsible for providing support as a UNIX
    System Analyst The contractor will work with a team of software developers
    and system administrators supporting the mission critical function of UNIX
    servers hosting automated systems Potential contractor should possess good
    problem solving skills excellent communications skills both oral and
    written a desire to learn new technologies and a proven ability to work in
    a team oriented environment
    Other responsibilities include
    Installation maintenance and troubleshooting of IBM and HP
    servers in the US and Canada
    Maintain high customer service standards in dealing with and
    responding to customer issues and questions
    Must have good trouble shooting skills and the ability to work
    with others in a fast paced environment
    This contractor will provide support for the ISS established
    environment and assist with supplementing project work for the team Some
    of the projects that will benefit are the ISS Oracle project ISS Disk
    Upgrades ISS Operating system upgrades and ISS security initiatives
