    Requirement details:

    Our team supports two enterprise-level data applications. These tools assist a user base to capture and reporting of data on a national level. In addition to our two production systems, the team is focusing on building a new modern tool to replace one of the existing production systems.

    In this role, you will design and develop solutions in the enterprise; maintain existing websites using Java EE related technologies; and participate in designing and developing a new system.

    For our modernization effort, our stack includes a variety of technologies such as React/Angular/Bootstrap, Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, JHipster, and SQL Server. The team also uses Jenkins and is looking to incorporate Selenium \ iMacros for automation testing.

    Knowledge & Experience

    • • At least three (3+) years of work experience, with two (2+) or more years direct experience developing Enterprise Java software
    • • Modern web stack experience, including both client and server side technologies (full stack).
    • • Solid experience in writing and tuning SQL, T-SQL and/or PL/SQL functions, procedures, and triggers.
    • • Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional roles; Be a proactive team player
    • • Engage in design and code reviews
    • • Research potential technical solutions and develop proof of concepts
    • • Work with technical architects and developers to finalize the architecture and design
    • • Effectively communicate with developers and management to convey pros and cons of various project approaches
    • • Verify all software developed with automated unit tests (Junit, iMacros )
    • • Automate builds and prepare deployment packages
    • • Prepare documentation covering design and implementation
    • • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of testing and production
    • • Keep up with industry trends and relevant system development technologies
    • • Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and Build scripts (e.g. Maven, Gradle)
    • • Version control systems (e.g. Git, Subversion);

    Pluses:

    • • Very strong knowledge of at least one major application framework (i.e. Spring/Spring Boot)
    • • Working knowledge of creating RESTful API’s, including understanding of HATEOS, custom headers, and best practices.
    • • Strong project planning and management experience
    • • Experience contributing to open source software (Bonus)
    • • Experience developing applications using JHipster (Bonus)
